The First Farm Work Day!

Our first Farm Work Day is this Saturday – 26th March, starting at 10am, it will be a day of preparing the site, protecting it from the bunnies, so putting up a lot of fencing.  We would love lots of our members to turn up and help.  I will need to know how many people are coming so we can let David know how many to expect.  See website – under Diss Community Farm page for directions and details on parking. (Only 3 cars allowed at pub car park.)

Bring your own tools, (spade, fork etc) and depending on how long you plan to stay, you can bring lunch or eat at the pub.  The weather forecast is good, but if there is a significant amount of rain the work day will be postponed till the next suitable day.
Some people kindly offered to collect chicken wire from Stanton, that has been organised, (thanks Carol), we now have more chicken wire to collect from Starston, so if there is anyone with a large van or trailer that could possibly collect it and deliver it to site in Winfarthing for Saturday morning that would really be a big help – sorry it’s a bit short notice.
The core group met on Tuesday to discuss plans for the pilot project, we are intending to move away from the box scheme format, I will post more details on the website once we have clarified some of the details.
I currently only have 13 people listed to take part in the pilot veg project, please let me know if you would like to get veg through the pilot project this year and I’ll add you to the list.
Cheers
